December 14, 2010: Leona from Pella Drops By

Leona from Pella Windows dropped by to check out the windows and check any damage that might need replacing.


Tony started working on the pipes for the solar water heater at the back of the house.


Calvin worked on some caulking in the same area, while the painters touched up the rails.


Eric had the tough job of the day, converting the exterior hinges on the master bathroom cabinet door to interior hinges so that the door could open.

December 13, 2010: Eric's New Assistant...

Mizue came with Eric today and helped by taping up some of the tears in the paper covering the floor.


Eric was filling in holes here and there as well as finishing the closet fixtures.


And Bobo was working on some more electrical stuff.

December 6, 2010: Primer Paint on the Exterior

It's a beautiful day in Hawai'i Nei! A great day to start to paint the outside of the house. I love the wood look, but I know the paint is going to look beautiful (and protect the house!). So here we go!

The process... the morning was spent prepping. Then Rad, Mike & Paul started painting.



You can tell Rad takes his work very seriously!



So here we are at the end of Day 1 of painting...

December 5, 2010: Details, Details

Darrin and Eric worked on various other details around the house while Roger and Bennett cleaned up and moved lots of stuff to get ready for Calvin's team to come in on Monday to paint the outside. David Wong dropped by for a little while to help as well.


Darrin straightened the drawers and installed the pulls.


With David's help he also installed the quarter rounds over the flooring and baseboards.


And before Eric had to go run his errands, he worked on the master bedroom closet.
