July 18, 2010: The drywall board is up
It's beginning to look more like a house! Walls! (Sort of...)
I took the last one because I like the bird's foot corner detail. The 1x4 is cut like an arrow to fit just right. <___< (And yes that's the sky...)
[Postmark 7/26/10... I learned today that those boards are called "rafters," and those particular boards that I'm talking about are called a "valley rafter" and "jack rafters."

July 17, 2010: Drywalling Begins
Didn't get to see Mark & Dustin in action today, but here are the results:
Odd perspective of the kitchen, but this way you can see the ceiling. And the second photo is the hallway, with the pantry opening to the left.
The Durock is in the two bathrooms. Stinky!

July 16, 2010: Inspection by the White Glove Guy
Eric stopped by with his nephew Jake to check out the insulation installation, and he and Bennett and Bobo tweaked the sound wiring a little bit.
He would be working, but he decided to go skateboarding Tuesday night and show up his cousins and, well...
It's only bruised, thank God, so he'll be back on the job on Monday. Good timing, since the drywallers will be here this weekend anyway.

July 15, 2010: Insulation, Day 2... and the Sound System Wiring Contractor!
If you have ever visited Bennett's dental office, you are familiar with his wide array of music. So he hired an excellent sound system wiring guy to make sure that everything was done perfectly (and before the insulation guys returned!).
Mark & Dustin finished putting in the insulation. You can already tell the house is cooler!

More caulking by Bruce, and more belly banding by Eric and Darren. And the insulation and dry wall was delivered today.
