August 16, 2010: More Digging... and Uprooting

Jerard continues to dig: now he's working on the moat that will surround the castle...

Naah! We have to place the water and gas lines to required depth (not where they currently are), so we have to dig up the entire line to Mom's house.


Meanwhile, Wayne and his Eager Beavers are removing the stump from the mango tree that was chopped down in June.



And look! I have a fabulous purple truck to haul away some of my yucky Kaimuki dirt and rocks!

August 15, 2010: Fishing Day

Today is Day 100 since we started this project. So the workers are celebrating ... by going fishing.

August 13, 2010: Grading for Concrete Slabs

So lots of different things going on today: Jerard is digging so we can pour the concrete slabs in the back of the house, the front stair area, and the carport area.


Darren continues to work on the bases, having finished the caps for the lanai posts...


...and Eric continues to coordinate subcontractors from the site while Bennett coordinates from the office. Now that's a job!

Calvin dropped off the primer and several paint samples.


AND... the water lily is still surviving! :) And a second one is going to bloom soon as well.
